Hands-on Community Canning Working

Workshop limited to 10 participants. 

Cost is $30 per person (includes supplies and take-home canned tomatoes)

Summertime means long days of sunshine, weekends at the shore and an abundance of juicy, ripe tomatoes. While we can't bottle the sun or sand, we can capture all the flavor of those 'maters for later in the year. Want to learn how?  The workshop will be taught by local canning teacher Marisa McClellan.

Students in this workshop will process and can approximately 120 pounds of tomatoes. Each student will take home at least four quarts of tomatoes, along with all the knowledge they need to replicate the same feat in heir own kitchens. Cost is $30 per person and covers all supplies and the space rental.
